went to watch the phantom of the opera on fri, oh man oh man... this is one entry that's gonna be nothing but gushing about it haha.. quite lucky in a way, that i almost wanted to watch it in germany when i was there on immersion last year, but it was showing at Essen, which was super out of the way for us, so didn't bother, n ended up watching Cats which was the last show after 20 years!! n phantom's now showing in singapore! =P
it was wonderful, awesome, breathtaking... i've listened to the recordings of the songs for years and watched the movie too, yet thrills of ecstasy simply kept running through during the musical.. *satisfied sigh* (n M's gonna say 'so emo!' again haha..)
only regret was buying seats that had a restricted view... been mostly going to the esplanade's concert hall instead of the theatre, forgot how exactly it's like inside... will really try to get tix earlier and be more willing to pay for my next musical, i hope.. =P
argh, so reminds me of one of my childhood dreams of having my life and career revolving around a musical, be it singing or playing the violin.. oh well, but sometimes dreams are but dreams...
